It appears that a list of recent updates is not enough. Due to popular demand, I have installed a new feed aggregator for recent comments. It is available here:
focuser.net/update/comment/
Bookmark that link, and check for its freshness a million times a day.
Currently it works only for FOCUSer.net hosted WordPress blogs, as they provide proper RSS2 feed for comments. It does not work with hosted Movable Type 2.x blogs as the default templates do not have a comments feed. If you are running WordPress 1.5.x elsewhere, and you like to have your comment feed aggregated, please email me so I can send you a patch to WP.
Comment feeds are fetched each hour at 15 minutes to the hour.
Update: Yes. You can also get the atom feed for recent comments.

With our recent update aggregation service, we can build a blog tracking site not just for the blogs hosted here at FOCUSer.net, but also those hosted elsewhere including Blogger, Xanga, MSN Spaces, etc. So, if you know a fellow FOCUSer (or ex-FOCUSer) having a blogsite somewhere else (and don’t mind being listed here), you can submit that blogsite using the following link:

Atom 0.3 feed support has been added to recently updated page, so you can now track FOCUser blogs from one single source through your favourite news aggregators.
FOCUSer.net Recent Updates Atom Feed (validated)
Note that since the list only gets updated once a hour, there is no point fetching the feed every 5 minutes.
